Hello World

So here's a first post to explain what and who we are.

The five wits are a concept from Shakespeare’s time, when they were referred to as different kinds of intelligence. The wits are imagination, common wit (we might say common sense) , estimation, memory and fantasy. It seemed a good set of smarts to build a both practical and whimsical business on.

The Five Wits is a company, but also, and more importantly a community of friends and artists. We started with just two of us, and now the number of wits varies from event to event. We’re an RP group, sometime classmates and lifelong friends.

As the noisiest founding member I, Whit, will be doing most of the talking around here, and co-opting this as my personal blog. It will be my job to say something funny occasionally and to keep the art coming.

So yes, art. It should be appearing shortly.
